Level 2 Introductory Certificate in Team Leading
This ILM accredited Certificate aims to give practicing
or potential team leaders the foundation for their formal
development within their role. The programme’s principal
goals are to:
• Assist delegates in gaining the basic knowledge
required by a team leader
•
Develop basic team leading skills
The programme consists of a two-hour introductory meeting
followed by 6 three-hour sessions, backed up with tutorial
support.
Each candidate must complete a reflective review to demonstrate
their understanding and transfer of skills to the workplace.
This will be marked against the national standard, as approved
by the ILM Management External Verifier.
Course Pre-requisites:
There are no formal education requirements, however delegates
will usually be either aspiring or practicing team leaders
with a background that will enable them to benefit from
this training.

Session 1 Developing Yourself
Session 2 The Role of a Team Leader
Session 3 Effective Communication
Session 4 Dealing with Conflict
Session 5 Planning and Organising the Team’s Work
Session 6 Motivating the Team
