Level 3 Introductory Certificate in First Line Management
This ILM Level 3 Certificate aims to give practicing or
potential first line managers the foundation for their formal
development within their role. The programme’s principal
goals are to:
• Help delegates gain the basic knowledge that a
first line manager needs
•
Develop delegates’ basic management skills
•
Build delegates’ confidence
The programme consists of a two-hour induction followed
by 10 three-hour sessions, backed up with tutorial support
(minimum two hours).
Each candidate must complete: • A personal development
record
• A work-based assignment
• Four segment reviews
This work will be marked against the national standard,
as approved by the ILM Management External Verifier.
Delegates must be 18 years or over
and have a background that will enable them to benefit
from the programme. There
are no formal educational requirements, but delegates need
to be able to work on self-study assignments.
