and how it can help to improve team members’ performance
•
Develop delegates’ skills to perform effectively
as workplace mentors
The key elements of the training include:
• What is a “good coach”?
•
Planning a training /instruction session so that it flows
efficiently and effectively
•
Motivating trainees
•
Recognising different learning and communication styles
• Helping coaches reflect on what they have learned
•
Giving and receiving constructive feedback
The programme takes place over four days, and delegates
must also complete a two-part written assignment demonstrating
their understanding of the subject and the skills transfer
back into the workplace. This assignment is marked against
the national standard, as approved by the ILM Management
External Verifier.
